Terms and Conditions
Full terms of business can be found on our website and are a condition of attending an event operated by The Travel Authority Pty Ltd, trading as The Events Authority (ABN 66 107 889 707) (referred to as "TTA").
By confirming your attendance, you agree and acknowledge that:
1. TTA is a booking agent and accepts no liability in connection with your related travel and attendance at the Event, for any:
a. loss, theft, damage, injury, illness, death or accident.
b. direct or indirect financial loss, consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, pain and suffering, delay or irregularity; and
2. You indemnify and release TTA from any and all claims, suits, demands, liability, loss, damage, cost or liability for any loss suffered or incurred by you, in relation to or incidental to the Event.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation of your accommodation is possible up to 60 days prior to the event. Cancellation after this time, no refund is possible.
Cancellation of your registration must be made in writing and sent to AIIP by 13th June 2019, a refund is possible less the $80 cancellation fee. We regret that no refunds can be made after this date. A substitute may be put forward to fill your delegate's place.
Travel and Health Insurance:
Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. AIIP shall not be responsible for, and shall be exempt from, all liability in respect of any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or inconvenience to any person during the Conference. It is the delegate’s responsibility to be adequately insured in case of claims pertaining to travel/accidents and illness for the duration of his/her visit to Canberra.
Copyright:
Copyright in all software, papers and other material produced for the Seminar will be vested in AIIP. Companies and their delegates may copy such material for their personal use, but further copying, and in particular copying for sale or any other commercial purpose, is prohibited without prior permission.
Cancellation of Seminar by the Organisers and Insurance:
In the event that the Seminar is cancelled by AIIP, or by any reason of any factor outside the control of AIIP, and cannot take place, the amount of the Registration fee shall be refunded. The liability of AIIP shall be limited to that refund, and AIIP shall not be liable for any other loss, cost or expense, howsoever caused, incurred or arising, In particular. AIIP shall not be liable to refund any travel costs incurred by delegates or their guests or their companies. It follows that delegates and their guests and their companies are advised to take our comprehensive insurance including travel insurance.
Disclaimer:
AIIP cannot accept any liability for any loss, cost or expense suffered or incurred by any person if such a loss is caused or results from the act, default or omission of any person other than an employee or agent of AIIP. In particular AIIP cannot accept any liability for losses arising from the provision of services provided by hotel companies or transport operators. Nor can AIIP accept liability for losses suffered by reason of war, including threat of war, riots, and civil strife, terrorist activity natural disaster, weather, fire, flood, drought, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown within any premises visited by delegates or their guests in connection with the Seminar, industrial disputes. Government action, regulations or technical problems which may accept the serviced provided in connection with the Seminar. AIIP is not able to give any warranty that any person will appear as a speaker or panellist. Australian Law shall govern the contract between delegates, and AIIP and any disputes shall be the exclusive preserve of the Australian Courts.
Joining Instructions:
A confirmation email with a Tax Invoice will be sent to you shortly after you have completed your online registration.
Continuing Professional Development/ Continuing Legal Education:
For those delegates who are required by their professional associations to achieve minimum levels of continuing education, certificates of attendance will be available on request. CPE equivalent 8.5 hours.
